10 years into aging, the original distiller located in Lawrenceberg, Indiana, noticed that some barrels of their American whiskey had begun to leak. Looking for a quick fix, these barrels were quickly re-barreled into some ex-FourRoses barrels, where they continued the remainder of their 20 year journey. The result is a rich, oily American Whiskey that picked up alot of additional character and sweetness, unlikely to ever be done again, intentionally!
Nose: Brown-sugar-candied-walnuts, cola, almond extract
Palate: OILY! Sweet vanilla cream, caramel, dusty oak and black tea
Finish: spicy finish with leather and old oak persisting throughout the finish. Spice and drying oak however, are well rounded by a continued sweetness. A unique American Whiskey.
