Commodore’s Cut, Cut #1:
Barrel 2192 was selected by CAPT Don "Willie" Williamson, USN (Ret.) — retired Navy Captain, former Commodore of Helicopter Maritime Strike Wing, U.S. Pacific Fleet, and founder of Commodore's Cut, a whiskey collaboration project with Onyx & Amber - the team who knows these barrels best.
Sourced from MGP / Ross & Squibb in Lawrenceburg, Indiana and aged over eleven years, this single barrel straight bourbon was filled into a Canton Cooperage barrel built from naturally air-seasoned staves dried for 24 months — a process that draws out harsh wood compounds and leaves behind oak that contributes layers of vanilla, caramel, and dried fruit without rough edges. Brought to Denver, Colorado, where high-altitude conditions and dramatic barometric swings added a final chapter to its character, Barrel 2192 was bottled at 109.9 proof — uncut, unchillfiltered, exactly as it came from the wood. 154 bottles. When they're gone, this barrel will never exist again.
Commodore's Cut exists to honor the Four Pillars of service — Military, Law Enforcement, Fire & Rescue, and Emergency Medical Services. A portion of every bottle sold is donated to organizations that serve and support these communities. This is not a marketing tagline; it is the reason the brand exists.
I Salute You. You are cleared for approach. -Commodore, CAPT Don "Willie" Williamson, USN (Ret.)
